TROPICAL
STORM/HURRICANE POLICIES
It is the policy of
ECM to follow the school closures of Broward County due
to STORM related incidents. Our Parent
Handbook outlines the procedures to follow.
In the
event that schools remain closed after a storm, ECM will
determine, according to any damage or power outages,
when we will reopen. They may not follow that of
Broward County Schools.

SEE PICTURES OF
YOUR CHILDREN
We have found a
wonderful way to share pictures that we have been taking
of your children. Shutterfly.com now makes it
possible to upload pictures to our own personal website.
Through this site, you can view pictures, order on-line,
or save them to your personal Shutterfly account.
The website is password protected so only ECM families
can access the site. Please remember that the
password is case-sensitive. Also, any parent who
has filled out the "Permission for Photographic Release"
form and opted NOT to have their child
photographed, WILL NOT see pictures of their
child(ren) on the site. If you wish to up-date
your "photographic Release" form, please let school
office know as soon as possible. Please
check with the school office for the specific password
to use. Just click on the word
"Shutterfly"
to direct you to the site.

BUTTERFLY GARDEN
Preschoolers learn
through Nature so we take the classroom outside to our
very own garden. Here the children go with
teachers to view butterflies laying eggs, caterpillars
eating and butterflies flitting.

NO PURSES IN LOCKED CARS
PLEASE.....PLEASE.....PLEASE....
DO NOT LEAVE YOUR CARS LOCKED WITH PURSES, VALUABLES
OR CHILDREN IN THEM.

Across the cities of South Florida, rings of "smash and
grab" people "watch" women who get out of their cars
without their purses. They will then wait, smash a
window and usually find a purse. This is happening at
pre-schools, parks, ball fields, fitness centers and
churches across the city. We have had a few of these
take place in our very own parking lot and continue to
warn you NOT to leave your purse or valuables in your
car. Locking them does no good. They smash, grab and
run. They are professionals and are very bold. Hear
our warning! |

Handprints
|
The handprint tiles are a continuous fundraiser, so feel
free to sign up whenever. Gail will bring children out
from their rooms and do their prints while they are in
class. If you know any alumni, tell them to come by and
put their hand on the wall. |

Campbell's Labels for Education
|
ECM is collecting
Campbell's Labels for Education
purposes. So start bringing in those labels.
Labels included in this drive are Campbell's, Prego, V8,
Swanson, Pepperidge Farm and Franco-American.
Help us out with this program; it's an easy way for ECM
to get free toys and equipment. |
