Our two Toddler classes offer many
opportunities to this group of
children who are making the transition from Infancy to
independence. A 12-18 month transition room, "The
Tadpole Room", across the hall from our infant room is
our newest room. This room will be small in
numbers and will allow children extra time to get their
walk sturdy before heading to the older toddler class.
These children have a routine including art, story time,
outdoor play and Bye Bye Buggy rides. In our Older
Toddler Room, "The Turtle Room," children are not only "learning"
colors and shapes, but also finding their words and how
to interact with others their own age. They will
participate "hands on" in many seasonal activities which
may include making orange juice, feeling the inside of a
pumpkin, painting with a lemon or tasting different
seasonings. This is a wonderful age to teach as
these children are "sponges" wanting and ready to learn
through their experiences. This class is located a step
from the playground which is a wonderful place for them
to walk outside as many are still getting their footing.

Elenice Santos
"Ms. El" is starting her
4th year
with ECM as the Lead Toddler teacher known as the
"Turtle" class, (Older Toddlers). She has
just completed her National Christian CDA and is
excited about starting a new year with her new
class of young children. She is very "hands
on" and allows these young children to be
independent in their play.

Roseana Trein
Roseana is the Lead Teacher of
the "Tadpole" class (Younger Toddlers), moving from her position in
the Cub room. After earning her Child
Development Associate Credential she was ready
for more responsibilty. She has a calm and quiet demeanor
about her that puts parents and toddlers at ease.
She creates a wonderful environment
for this "active" room.

children.
