NEW ROOM TO
BEGIN 1/4/ 2010. A 12- 18 month transition room
across the hall from our infant room. This room
will be small in numbers and will allow children extra
time to get their walk sturdy before heading to the
older toddler class.
|
|
Our Toddler class is our group of
children who are making the transition from Infancy to
independence. These children are not only "learning"
colors and shapes, but also finding their words and how
to interact with others their own age. They will
participate hands on in many seasonal activities which
may include making orange juice, feeling the inside of a
pumpkin, painting with a lemon or tasting different
seasonings. This is a wonderful age to teach as
these children are "sponges" wanting and ready to learn
through their experiences. This class is located a step
from the playground which is a wonderful place for them
to walk outside as many are still getting their footing.

Elenice Santos
"Ms. El" is starting her
3rd year
with ECM as the Lead Toddler teacher known as the
"Turtle" class. She has
just completed her National Christian CDA and is
excited about starting a new year with her new
class of young children. She is very hands
on and allows these young children to be
independent in their play.

Pat Godinez
Pat started this past summer at
ECM as a part time camp teacher. Her
experience lies in the public school realm as a
Substitute Teacher. Seeing her willingness
to relate to the children, she has joined the
team in the "Turtle" class. She is getting
to know the children, our program and enjoys
watching even these little ones learn. |

Diana Miranda
Diana has been at ECM for over 2
years and in January started our newest
classroom, the "Tadpoles." This is a class
that began out of need since our Infant room was
growing with babies and our almost Toddlers were
needing space to roam, crawling and learning to
walk. She has been wonderful getting the
room "Up and running." She is the assistant in
this room now as we have expanded and added more
children.

Rhonda Currier
Rhonda moves to the "Tadpole"
room as Lead Teacher since finishing her CDA in
June. We are very excited for her to
complete this, it is a huge accomplishment for
her personally. She is excited about being
apart of the lives of these older Infants and
younger Toddlers. She brings many years of
experience with this age group. She was
originally in the Infant room, moved to our 2
year old to broaden her horizon, but is back to
what she loves most, the littlest ones.
She has been with ECM for 4 years and glad to
have her on the team!

Melissa is a Nursing Student and
is great with our young children. She
works the afternoon hours and we are glad to
have her as a part of the ECM staff.
